Construction: This stage involves the physical construction of a project or facility. It includes activities such as site preparation, foundation work, construction of buildings and structures, installation of utilities and systems, and other necessary components.

Commissioning: Once construction is completed, the commissioning stage begins. This involves testing and ensuring that the different systems, equipment, and components of the project are working properly and in accordance with the design specifications. It also includes inspecting and verifying the overall functionality and performance of the project.

Operation: After commissioning, the project enters the operation phase where it is put to use for its intended purpose. This could involve activities such as manufacturing, production, service delivery, or any other function for which the project was designed.

Decommissioning: At the end of the project's life cycle or when it is no longer needed, the decommissioning stage begins. This involves the systematic and safe removal and disposal of all materials, equipment, and structures associated with the project. It also includes deactivating systems and utilities and restoring the site to its pre-project condition.

Restoration/Aftercare: Once decommissioning is completed, the restoration or aftercare stage begins. This involves restoring the site or environment to its original state or implementing plans for aftercare, which could include activities such as landscaping, reforestation, soil remediation, or any other measures necessary to mitigate the impacts of the project on the surrounding area. This stage aims to ensure the long-term sustainability and environmental integrity of the site.
