for this equation x^2 - x = 0

would x = 1

i think this is the answer but i need to write it out step by step in how i worked the answer out,
can any one help me please??

factor
(x+1) (x-1) =0
so solve each little equation
x+1=0
x=-1
and
x-1=0
x=1
so both 1 and -1 are solutions

factor
x(x-1)=0
therefore
x=0
or x-1 = 0
x=1, x=0
