The DVD is capable of holding more data compared to the CD, smart card, and floppy diskette. DVDs typically have a storage capacity of 4.7 to 9.4 gigabytes (single-layer) or 8.5 to 17 gigabytes (dual-layer), whereas CDs can store up to 700 megabytes of data. Smart cards generally have much lower storage capacities, ranging from a few kilobytes to a few hundred kilobytes. Floppy diskettes have even lower storage capacities, usually around 1.44 megabytes.
