In a unitary government system, power is concentrated at the national level and the state or regional governments have limited autonomy and authority. The central government holds most of the power and can make decisions that affect the entire country. The state governments, on the other hand, have less governing power and are subject to the authority and control of the central government. Therefore, in a unitary government system, the state is given the least power compared to other government systems.
