Im working on poetry at school and I'm suppose to make a limerick. The rhyme scheme is aabba. I'm now just having trouble on the last one.

Be my friend, I plead.
A friend is all I need.
Please be the one that I can trust.
Don't ever let our friendship rust.

Help?

friendship rust? Hmmmm.

last line:
Teach me to swing like Sam Sneed.

In case you don't know.

You need to work on the rhythm and number of syllables in each line, in addition to the rhyme.

Writing a limerick can be a fun and creative way to express your thoughts and emotions. To create a limerick with the rhyme scheme aabba, you need to follow a specific structure:

1. Start with a couplet (two lines) that introduce the theme or subject of your limerick. These two lines typically have the same rhyme, referred to as rhyme A.

2. The next two lines should also rhyme with each other, creating a new rhyme, referred to as rhyme B.

3. Finally, conclude your limerick with a single line that rhymes with the first two lines (rhyme A).

Here's an example of how you can complete your limerick:

Be my friend, I plead.
A friend is all I need.
Please be the one that I can trust.
Don't ever let our friendship rust.
So together we'll always succeed.

In this example, the third line introduces the concept of trust, and the fourth line emphasizes the desire for a long-lasting friendship. The final line concludes the limerick by expressing optimism and the idea of success.

Remember, limericks are meant to be light-hearted and often have a humorous or witty tone, so don't be afraid to let your creativity and imagination run wild!
