1. Cats are not showing affection when they rub the back of their head or body against someone...usually a leg. It is just instinct. They are putting their scent on that person, like claiming that person as territory.

2. Head Bonks=Cats showing affection-the only way--This is when a cat bumps someone with the front part of its face along the person's nose and chin. It is also called 'bunting.'
