Why do you say -6 while others say it's 6 for w^12 w^18. I know when I put 12-18 in calculator it's -6 but, are we supposed to turn it into positive 6 instead of negative, that's why i.m confused 🤔

You are correct that w^12 w^18 equals w^(12+18) which is w^30. It is not equal to -6 or 6.

I'm not sure where you have seen that answer. However, it's possible that some confusion arose due to the fact that when you calculate w^-6 (which means 1/w^6), you get a positive value if w is non-zero.

In any case, w^12 w^18 is simply w^30.

To clarify, when simplifying the expression w^12 * w^18, we follow the rule of exponents that states:

a^m * a^n = a^(m + n)

In this case, we have w^12 * w^18. By applying the rule of exponents, we can add the exponents together:

12 + 18 = 30

Therefore, the simplified expression is w^30, not -6 or 6.

It's important to note that -6 is not the correct answer for w^12 * w^18. If you obtained -6 by subtracting the exponents, it might be due to a mistake.

Always remember to add the exponents when multiplying terms with the same base.
