Intersecting Tangents (on the exterior)

If two tangents are drawn to a circle from a point outside the circle, then they are equal in length.
Formula:
AB = AC where A is the point outside the circle and B and C are the points of intersection of the tangents with the circle.
Theorem 12-3 states that if two tangents are drawn to a circle from an external point, then the measure of the angles formed by the tangents are equal.
The formula to find the measure of these angles is:
∠A = ∠B
where ∠A and ∠B are the angles formed by the intersecting tangents.
