Cinquain poems are poems with five short lines. We will write three of them, combine them, and consider them three stanzas of one poem. The first line has one word, a noun. The second line has two words, adjectives. The third line has three words-ing, words. The fourth line has a four or five word phrase. The fifth and last line has one word, a synonym or nickname for the noun of the first line.
