Does updating works?

It's possible that updating your screen recording software or your computer's audio driver and settings could fix the issue. Sometimes software updates can fix bugs or compatibility issues that could be causing the problem. However, it's not a guarantee that updating will work, and there may be other underlying factors causing the issue with audio while screen recording.

There could be several reasons why you are not able to record the audio from YouTube videos while screen recording. Here are some possible explanations:

1. Screen recording settings: Check if you have enabled audio recording in your screen recording settings. Sometimes, the audio recording feature may be disabled by default.

2. Browser settings: Confirm that you have allowed your browser to access the microphone and audio settings. Some browsers require explicit permission to record audio from websites.

3. Sound settings on your computer: Verify that the audio output settings on your computer are correctly configured. Ensure that the default audio output is set to your computer's speakers or the device you are using for screen recording.

4. Screen recording software limitations: The screen recording software you are using may have limitations or may not support audio recording from certain sources. Check the software documentation or try using a different screen recording software to see if that resolves the issue.

5. Copyright restrictions: Some YouTube videos may have copyright protection that prevents screen recording software from capturing audio. This could be due to the policies set by the video owner.

6. Hardware issues: It is possible that there are issues with your computer's sound card or audio output, preventing the audio from being recorded. Try troubleshooting your computer's audio settings or consider using an external microphone for audio recording.

7. Incompatible software or plugins: Make sure that your screen recording software and browser are up to date. Outdated software or incompatible browser plugins could interfere with audio recording.

8. Internet connection: A poor internet connection can sometimes cause issues with audio recording. Ensure that you have a stable and fast internet connection while attempting to record the screen.

Remember, it's important to respect copyright laws and only record content with proper permissions or for personal use.

There could be several reasons why you are not able to capture audio when screen recording a YouTube video. Here are some possible explanations and troubleshooting steps to help you understand the issue:

1. Browser Settings: Check if your browser settings allow the screen recording application to access the audio. Some browsers like Google Chrome have built-in security settings that may restrict capturing audio from certain sources. You can modify these settings by going to the browser's permissions or settings menu.

2. Permission Issues: Ensure that the screen recording application has the necessary permissions to access your system's audio. On many operating systems, such as Windows or macOS, you can adjust these permissions by accessing the system settings and reviewing the app permissions for audio.

3. Recording Software Settings: Verify the settings within your screen recording software. Make sure audio recording is enabled, and the correct audio source is selected. Some applications may offer different audio recording options, such as system audio or microphone audio. Ensure that the desired audio source is selected properly.

4. Audio Output Device: Confirm that your computer's audio output device is correctly configured. Sometimes, the audio output might be directed to a device other than your laptop's speakers, such as headphones or an external speaker. Adjusting the audio output device settings can potentially resolve the issue.

5. YouTube Video with Muted Audio: Check if the specific YouTube video you are trying to capture has muted audio intentionally by the uploader. Some videos may have copyright restrictions or disabled audio to prevent unauthorized distribution. Try playing a different YouTube video with known working audio to test if the problem persists.

6. Compatibility Issues: Ensure that your screen recording software and browser are compatible with each other and the operating system. Incompatibilities between software versions or outdated applications can cause issues with capturing audio.

7. Technical Limitations: It's possible that the screen recording software you are using does not support capturing audio from the internet. Not all screen recording applications are designed to capture audio from web sources, such as YouTube videos. Make sure you are using a screen recording tool that explicitly supports recording audio from your browser.

By considering these possible reasons and troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with capturing audio while screen recording YouTube videos.
