A diamond poem is a poem shaped like a diamond. This type of poem is about things that are opposite, synonyms and antonyms. The 1st line of the poem is one word. It is the first of two subjects of the poem. The 2nd line is two adjectives that describe the 1st subject. The 3rd line is three-img words related to the 1st subject. The 4th line contains four nouns—the 1st two related to the 1st subject and the 2nd two related to the 2nd subject (the opposite of the 1st subject). The 5th line contains three-img words connected to the 2nd subject, the 6th line contains two adjectives that describe the 2nd subject, and the 7th and last line names the 2nd subject.
