The largest ocean garbage patch is called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP). It is an accumulation of trash, mostly made up of plastic, found between Hawaii and California in the North Pacific Ocean. It is estimated to be twice the size of Texas, although it is important to note that it does not form a solid mass, but rather consists of a high concentration of plastic particles suspended in the water.
