Which Characters in Out Of My Mind learn to grow by the end of the book?

Melody, the main character, learns to grow and develop throughout the book. She starts off as a quiet and observant girl who struggles to communicate with others due to her cerebral palsy. However, as she begins to attend a new school with a communication device, she gains confidence in expressing herself and participating in class. She also learns to stand up for herself and her friends when they are being unfairly treated.

Melody's parents also grow throughout the book, as they learn to trust and support their daughter more fully. Initially overprotective, they gradually allow Melody more independence and encourage her to pursue her passions.

Melody's classmates also learn to grow as they become more accepting of her and recognize the value of her unique perspective. They learn to see the person behind the disability and to appreciate Melody for who she is.
