Science 6th final exam Classification of energy and motion.

Classification of energy:

1. Kinetic Energy: The energy possessed by an object due to its motion is known as kinetic energy.

2. Potential Energy: The energy possessed by an object due to its position or height is known as potential energy.

3. Chemical Energy: The energy stored in chemical bonds is known as chemical energy. This energy is released during a chemical reaction.

4. Thermal Energy: The energy possessed by an object due to its temperature is known as thermal energy.

5. Nuclear Energy: The energy stored in the nucleus of an atom is known as nuclear energy. This energy is released during nuclear reactions.

6. Electrical Energy: The energy that is generated by the flow of an electric charge through a conductor is known as electrical energy.

7. Radiant Energy: The energy that is carried by electromagnetic waves is known as radiant energy.

Classification of motion:

1. Linear Motion: The motion that occurs in a straight line is called linear motion.

2. Circular Motion: The motion that occurs in a circular path is called circular motion.

3. Oscillatory Motion: The motion that occurs in a back and forth motion is called oscillatory motion.

4. Projectile Motion: The motion that occurs when an object is thrown or launched is called projectile motion.

5. Rotational Motion: The motion of an object around an axis is called rotational motion.

6. Translational Motion: The motion that occurs when an object is moved from one point to another is called translational motion.

7. Vibrational Motion: The motion that occurs when an object vibrates or oscillates is called vibrational motion.
