Phishing email

A phishing email is a fraudulent email in which the sender masquerades as a trustworthy entity in order to trick the recipient into revealing sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, or bank account information or to download malware onto their computer. These emails often appear to be from reputable companies, banks, or government agencies, and they usually contain urgent requests for the recipient to take immediate action, such as clicking on a link or opening an attachment. Phishing emails can be highly convincing and can cause significant financial or personal damage to the victim.
