Classification of kerosene lamp

There are several ways to classify kerosene lamps, some of which are:

1. Based on design: There are various designs of kerosene lamps available in the market, such as hurricane lamps, Aladdin lamps, pedestal lamps, table lamps, wall lamps, etc.

2. Based on the fuel used: Though kerosene is the primary fuel used in kerosene lamps, some lamps can also use other fuels like propane or natural gas.

3. Based on the lighting mechanism: There are two types of lighting mechanisms used in kerosene lamps – wick and mantle. The wick mechanism is the traditional way of lighting up the lamp by lighting the wick. The mantle mechanism is a more modern method that uses a mantle (a mesh structure) to create a brighter flame.

4. Based on the size: Kerosene lamps come in different sizes, ranging from small handheld models to larger lamps that can light up a whole room.

5. Based on the purpose: Kerosene lamps can also be classified based on their intended use. For example, some lamps are designed for outdoor use as they are more durable and can withstand weather conditions, while others are more decorative and intended for indoor use.
