When performing rescue breathing e sure to always

maintain an open airway by tilting the victim's head back and lifting their chin. Pinch the victim's nostrils shut to prevent air from escaping, and place your mouth over theirs to form a seal. Breathe into their mouth for one second, and then observe for chest rise. Repeat this process every 5-6 seconds until help arrives or the victim begins breathing on their own. Monitor their breathing and pulse while waiting for emergency services.
