Japan: Japan is a constitutional monarchy, which is a type of government where the monarch, in this case the emperor, is limited in their powers by a constitution, and the actual governing is done by elected officials.

North Korea: North Korea is a single-party state with a totalitarian dictatorship style of governance. The ruling Workers' Party of Korea controls all aspects of society and the country is governed by a supreme leader, currently Kim Jong-un.

South Korea: South Korea is a democratic republic, where the president serves as both the head of state and the head of government. The country operates under a multi-party system and has a strong emphasis on civil liberties and human rights.
