There are actually some types of plastic that are considered renewable, such as bioplastics made from plant-based materials. However, the majority of plastic that we encounter in our daily lives, such as traditional petroleum-based plastics, are nonrenewable. These types of plastic are made from fossil fuels which are a finite resource and cannot be replenished.
