2. These advancements and cultural practices greatly influenced the growth and development of Ancient Greece. The cornerstone of Ancient Greek democratic society was the Assembly, which allowed citizens to participate in the political administration of their country. This allowed for more equitable representation and created a sense of civic responsibility among the citizens. Ancient Greece's intellectual achievements also helped to spread knowledge throughout the ancient world, and these innovations were often adopted by other civilizations.
Ancient Rome:
1. Ancient Rome is renowned for its contributions to engineering, architecture, and law. The Romans engineered vast public works such as aqueducts, sewage systems, and roads. They also advanced the development of concrete and an architectural style known as the arch which allowed them to build grand structures like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Roman law is also an important legacy, and many principles of Roman law are still used today.
