1. Stocks: ownership units of a company.

2. Shares: units of stocks that can be bought and sold.
3. Bid: the highest price a buyer is willing to pay for a share.
4. Ask: the lowest price a seller is willing to accept for a share.
5. Market cap: the total value of a company's shares outstanding.
6. Volume: the number of shares traded in a day.
7. Bull market: a period of rising stock prices.
8. Bear market: a period of falling stock prices.
9. Dividend: a share of a company's profits distributed to shareholders.
10. PE ratio: Price-to-Earnings ratio, which is a company's share price divided by its earnings per share.
