James Cook?

James Cook was a British explorer and navigator who is famous for his voyages in the Pacific Ocean in the late 18th century. He is best known for his three voyages to the South Seas, during which he explored and mapped much of the Pacific coast of North America, the eastern coast of Australia, and many Pacific islands. Cook is also remembered for his contributions to the development of navigational skills, cartography, and the Royal Navy. Cook was born in 1728 in the town of Marton, Yorkshire, England and died in 1779 in Hawaii.
