1. The problem I have identified is the increasing rates of air pollution in China, which affects not only the health of the Chinese citizens but also the global environment.

2. According to data by the World Health Organization, 9 out of 10 people globally breathe polluted air, and China has some of the highest levels of air pollution in the world. The pollution is mainly caused by the burning of fossil fuels and industrial emissions from factories.
3. The government, businesses, and citizens all have vital roles to play in addressing air pollution in China. The government should introduce and enforce stricter regulations to reduce industrial emissions and promote the use of cleaner energy sources, while businesses can contribute to sustainable development by adopting green technologies and reducing their carbon footprint. Citizens can also play a role by adopting environmentally friendly practices, such as using public transport or riding bicycles instead of driving cars.
4. Optional. Appendix: A graph showing the levels of air pollution in major Chinese cities over the years.
