(3x^2 - 4x^4) - (x^2 + 3x^4) + (6x^4 - 8x^2)
Combine like terms:
(3x^2 - 4x^4) - (x^2 + 3x^4) + (6x^4 - 8x^2)
= (3x^2 - 8x^2) + (-4x^4 - 3x^4 + 6x^4)
= -5x^2 - x^4.
The simplified form is -5x^2 - x^4.
