Grim and Gram are Max's grandparents in the book Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. Max's mother, their daughter, had died when he was young and his father was imprisoned, so they took care of him. Max seems to love and respect his grandparents, especially Grim, who he considers to be a hero. He often talks about how strong and tough his grandfather is and feels grateful for all that they do for him.
