What happens in the introduction chapters of the hunger games
In the introduction chapters of the Hunger Games novel, the reader is introduced to the story's protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, and to the dystopian world she lives in. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic North America called Panem, where the Capitol exerts control over 12 districts. As punishment for a failed rebellion, the Capitol has instituted the Hunger Games, an annual event in which two teenagers from each district are chosen to fight to the death in a televised arena.
