5. How was Peter's response flawed even though he had true faith? Walking on water

Peter's response demonstrated both faith and flawed thinking. He initially had the faith and courage to step out of the boat and walk towards Jesus, but as soon as he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the wind and waves, he became afraid and began to sink. His flaw was that he allowed his circumstances to distract him from his trust in Jesus. Instead of continuing to look to Jesus for his strength and guidance, he allowed his fear to take over. In the same way, we can have true faith in God, but still struggle with doubt and fear when faced with difficult situations. We must learn to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and trust Him to carry us through the storms of life.
