Boeing was also a major contributor, developing the B-52 Stratofortress, the B-17 Flying Fortress, and the B-29 Superfortress. Texas Instruments was a major contributor to the aerospace industry, developing the first integrated circuit, the first digital signal processor, and the first microprocessor. All three companies also developed a variety of other aerospace technologies, such as navigation systems, avionics, and propulsion systems.
