Background about wolves

Wolves are a species of canine native to the wilderness and remote areas of Eurasia and North America. They are the largest members of the dog family and are social animals, living in packs of up to thirty individuals. Wolves are carnivores, typically preying on large ungulates such as deer, elk, and moose. They are typically apex predators in their ecosystems, though they may also scavenge when necessary. Wolves are highly intelligent and have been known to use complex strategies to hunt their prey. They are also highly adaptable and have been able to survive in a variety of habitats, from tundra to forests and even urban areas.
