No. Hitting your child is never an appropriate response. Instead, take a deep breath and calmly explain why it is not okay to hit. Talk to your child about why they felt the need to hit you and how they can express their feelings in a more appropriate way. Take away computer privileges if necessary, but make sure to explain why you are doing so.
