My interpretation of the word fair is that it means to treat everyone equally and with respect. Yes, there have been times in my life when equality was more important than fairness. For example, when I was in school, I felt that it was more important to ensure that everyone had the same opportunities and access to resources, rather than to ensure that everyone was treated fairly.
