Student response: In this course we have learned about many foods from around the Spanish speaking world, such as mbejú, bife koygua, bori bori, caldo de choclo, carapulcra, cau cau, asados, and milanesas. Many of these foods sound awfully appetizing… but I - for the better or for the worse - am not one to try new things; I don't like spicy foods, meat, or desserts made with strange ingredients. However, I would try arroz con leche, kamaby arró, and milanesas. I would try the rice desserts because it reminds me of bouillie, which is a French dish that is a kind of porridge or gruel made of rice, lemons, and peanut butter. And milanesas just don't sound half bad.

That's really interesting that you would try arroz con leche, kamaby arró, and milanesas! I think it's great that you're willing to try new things, even if they don't sound like something you would usually eat. I'm curious, what is bouillie? It sounds like a really unique dish!
