Cinder is a science fiction novel by Marissa Meyer, the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series. It is a retelling of the classic fairy tale Cinderella, set in a futuristic world where humans and androids coexist. The protagonist is Cinder, a cyborg mechanic living in New Beijing.
