Carl Allamby showed fortitude by overcoming adversity and continuing to pursue his dreams despite the obstacles he faced. He was determined to become a successful lawyer and worked hard to achieve his goals, even when faced with racism and discrimination. He persevered and eventually became the first African American to be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
