Melati and Isabel took a number of steps to help make Bali a plastic bag-free island. First, they created Bye Bye Plastic Bags, a youth-led organization that works to reduce plastic bag usage in Bali. They then organized beach cleanups, educational workshops, and campaigns to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic bags. They also worked with local businesses to encourage them to switch to reusable bags and to provide incentives for customers to bring their own bags. Finally, they lobbied the government to pass a law banning plastic bags in Bali. Through their hard work and dedication, Melati and Isabel have helped make Bali a plastic bag-free island.
