1. What is a consequence that occurred because of the Louisiana Purchase?
a. Because of the high cost of the purchase, the United State went heavily into debt
b. With more room for Americans to expand, Native Americans increasingly lost territory or were treated harshly
c. Because of the doubling of United States land, Americans were too spread out to govern effectively
d. Americans were angered at the cost of the purchase and refused to journey westward
