Write a descriptive play/skit about a family consisting of a mom, dad, Miriam (young teen who is thier daugther) and a very sick aunt. At first her disease is unknown, the family speaks amongst each other and Miriam says they should call a pastor for a prayer of healing. Mom calls the pastor and the pastor prays for the aunt. He tells them they should withdraw her from medication if they truly trust God, reluctantly the dad agrees to the plan since she doesn't have a diagnosis until later the mother calls a doctor and they diagnose her with lung cancer. Later, the dad walks out on the family after the aunt dies. The mom and daughter finds a good pastor who helps them out of thier problems and struggles in life.

(Scene opens with a family of four in a living room. Mom, Dad, Miriam and Aunt are all present. Aunt is lying on the couch, looking very sick and weak. Miriam is the first to speak)

Miriam: Mom, Dad, I think we should call a pastor. Auntie needs a prayer of healing.

Mom: (nods in agreement) Yes, that's a good idea. I'll call the pastor right away.

(Mom leaves the room to make the call. Dad and Miriam stay with Aunt. Dad looks worried and concerned)

Dad: I hope this works.

Miriam: Me too.

(Mom returns with the pastor. He kneels down beside Aunt and begins to pray)

Pastor: Dear Lord, please heal this woman. Please give her strength and comfort.

(The pastor finishes his prayer and stands up. He looks at the family)

Pastor: If you truly trust in God, you should withdraw her from medication.

Dad: (hesitantly) Alright.

(The family waits for a diagnosis, but none comes. Finally, Mom decides to call a doctor. After a few days, the doctor arrives and diagnoses Aunt with lung cancer. Dad looks devastated)

Dad: No...

(Aunt passes away a few weeks later. Dad is too grief-stricken to stay with the family and he walks out. Mom and Miriam are left alone. They are struggling to cope with the loss. Suddenly, a new pastor arrives)

Pastor: I heard about your situation and I wanted to help.

Mom: (tearfully) Thank you.

(The pastor helps the family through their struggles and grief. He gives them hope and strength. Eventually, Mom and Miriam are able to move on with their lives. The scene fades out)
