How was pozole invented?

Pozole is believed to have originated in Mexico during the pre-Columbian era. It is thought to have been created by the Aztecs, who used hominy, a type of corn, as the main ingredient. The Aztecs would cook the hominy with chiles, herbs, and spices, and then add meat, such as turkey or pork, to the dish. This combination of ingredients created the traditional pozole that is still enjoyed today.

I think the pork came from the Spaniards, but this is close enough, thank you.
