Did you know?
Did you know that despite its alarming name, the "Murder Hornet" is not actually a common species in North America? Native to Asia, particularly Japan, these hornets pose a significant threat to bee populations due to their ability to decimate entire hives. However, there have been a few sightings of murder hornets in some parts of North America in recent years, mainly the Pacific Northwest. To prevent the establishment of these invasive pests and protect local ecosystems, extensive efforts are being made to track, intercept, and eradicate them. If you spot a suspicious-looking large hornet, report it to the appropriate authorities to aid in ongoing conservation efforts.
