Haiti experienced a wide range of problems after the earthquake. These included a lack of access to basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter; a lack of medical care; a lack of infrastructure; and a lack of economic opportunities. The earthquake also caused widespread destruction of homes and businesses, leaving many people homeless and without jobs. Additionally, the earthquake caused a spike in crime and violence, as well as an increase in the spread of diseases such as cholera.
