A particle travels horizontally between two

parallel walls separated by 18.1 m. It moves toward the opposing wall at a constant rate of 6.5 m/s. Also, it has an acceleration in the direction parallel to the walls of 1.8 m/s^2
What will it’s speed be when it hits the opposing wall?
At what angle with the wall will the Particle strike?

assuming it starts at one wall at time t=0, its velocities at time t will be

⊥: 6.5
║: 1.8t
it hits a wall every 18.1/6.5 = 2.78 seconds
so at time t=2.78, we have
speed: √(6.5^2 + (1.8*2.78)^2) = 8.20 m/s
tanθ = 6.5/(1.8*2.78)
θ = 52.4°
