In a particular redox reaction, NO

is oxidized to NO−3
and Ag+
is reduced to Ag
. Complete and balance the equation for this reaction in acidic solution. Phases are optional.
NO+Ag+=NO-3+Ag

My assumption is that NO is being oxidized to nitrate; i.e., [NO3]^- = NO3^-

NO + 2H2O==> NO3^- + 3e + 4H^+
Ag^+ + e ==> Ag
Multiply equation 1 by 1 and equation 2 by 3, add those two results together, cancel anything that appears on both sides of the equation (the electrons will cancel for sure but I think that is all) and that leaves the final equation. Post your work if you get stuck.
