if it takes one second to go up it takes 1 second to come down. Total time aloft is 2. The speed when it hits the ground is the same as the starting speed up.
v = Vi - 10 t
at top v = 0
so
Vi = 10 t = 10 * 1 = 10 m/s
h = 0 + Vi t - 5 t^2
h = 10 * 1 - 5*1^2 = 5 meters
