I need help solving this problem please:

The radius of a cylindrical gift box is (2x + 3) in. The height of the gift box is twice the radius. What is the surface area of the cylinder? Write your answer as a polynomial in standard form.
Thanks so much!

The surface area consists of

2 circles + a rectangle. The length of the rectangle is the circumference
of the circle and its height is the height of the cylinder.

SA = 2π(2x+3)^2 + 2π(2x+3)[(2)(2x+3)]
=2π(2x+3)^2 + 4π(2x+3)^2
= 6π(2x+3)^2
