When dispensing solution from a micropipet, hold the pipet vertically within the receiving vessel with the tip touching the inside wall. Press the plunger to the first stop and discard the remaining solution with the tip.
I must confess that I have never used a micropipet similar to the one the question describes. When I used a micropipet many many years ago while doing research for my dissertation, (that was in the 1950s), I used (mostly) 50 uL and they were manually operated. No plungers. They were "to contain" units so we drew the sample in with a squeeze bulb and I blew on the top to expel the liquid inside. I don't think I should give advice on these modern dufangled gadgets. You can Google this topic and see diagrams of the different kinds and how they operate.
