8. The Ford Hunger March was a strike for auto workers unemployed in Michigan. During the great depression, the auto industry was struggling. Lots of workers were fired and many of the workers became unemployed. They wanted to start a march, when they did it wasn't easy. Police in Dearborn tried to stop the match by blocking and attacking the workers with weapons after the workers fought back. Many people died from hunger as well.

Its goal was to expand the government and create more roles in the economy. The New deal programs helped many different people. For example, the National industrial recovery act was to make sure that workers can have the right to unite and bargain together for higher wages and higher working conditions. Also, the Works progress administration helped give jobs to the unemployed.
