Given f(x)=8x+12, find and simplify the following:

Please write formulas as

34x2+2x+1x−1−12
in the format:

3x^2/4+2(x+1)/(x-1)-1/2.

(a) f(9)=

(b) f(−4)=

(c) f(4x)=

(d) 3f(x)=

(e) f(−x)=

(f) f(x−4)=

(g) f(x)−4=

many thanks :)

I thought we had taken care of this already

Surely by the time you're in precal you know how to use the distributive property ...
f(x)=8x+12

f(-x) = 8(-x)+12 = -8x+12
f(x-4) = 8(x-4)+12 = 8x-32+12 = 8x-20
f(x)-4 = 8x+12-4 = 8x+4
