Some headline's that could be described as yellow journalism is, "Destruction of the war ship Maine was the work of an enemy," and at the bottom, "Naval officers think that the Maine was destroyed by a Spanish mine." Both of these would be considered to be yellow journalism because the point of yellow journalism was to help push Spain and the United States into war. As presented in the front page of this magazine the author published false articles about the plot to sink the ship Maine (yellow journalism) increasing tension between Spain and the United States.
