Properties of Equality
1) 12 X 2 = 24 so
(12 X 2)/6 = 24/6

2) 19-4=15 so
(19-4)+6 = 15+6

3) 21+7=28 so
(21+7)-18 = 28-18

what properties are they looking for?

First: division property
third: subtraction property

They are only demonstrating that you can add, subtract or multiply both sides of an equation by equal amounts, and still end up with a valid equation.
