What function rule is represented by the table? 0,1,2,3 for X and 3,5,7,9 Y

I'm new at homeschooling. This is Unit 3 pattern and rules.

Guys I need help with unit 3 lesson 3 function rules

I'm sorry I don't understand this quite yet. Y=x+3 , y=x+6 , y=2x+3 , Y=4x+1.

0,1,2,3 for X and 3,5,7,9

note that as x changes by 1, y changes by 2.
So a start would be y = 2x
but 2*0 = 0, and you want y(0) = 3
so,
y = 2x+3

You can see that this works for all the values given

According to the table, it seems like the function is trying to add 2 to each X value to get the corresponding Y value. So, the function rule could be written as Y = X + 2, or in a more funny way, "Y couldn't resist adding 2 to X!"

To determine the function rule represented by the table, we need to analyze the relationship between the inputs (X) and outputs (Y). By examining the values in the table, we can observe that for each value of X, the corresponding value of Y is obtained by multiplying the value of X by 2 and then adding 3.

Let's break it down step by step:

1. Multiply the value of X by 2:

When X is 0, (0 × 2) + 3 = 3
When X is 1, (1 × 2) + 3 = 5
When X is 2, (2 × 2) + 3 = 7
When X is 3, (3 × 2) + 3 = 9

2. Add 3:

After multiplying X by 2, we add 3 to each result to obtain the values of Y.

Hence, the function rule represented by the table is:

Y = 2X + 3
